In Matthew 28:19, we are called to, “Go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Baptism is a part of becoming a member of God’s Family, not through any magic or holiness of the water, but by the promise given by God’s Holy Word, in, with and under regular water in baptism."
We baptize persons of any age. Romans 6:4 says that we are united with Christ in His death, in baptism, and raised to new life.
If you or your child have not been baptized it would be our honor to visit with you. In the case of a baby, the pastor would like to meet with both parents for one session before the special day. If you are an adult seeking to be baptized, we will arrange a visit with the pastor before the baptism.
1. You should first call the church and check the schedule to see if the date you desire is available. The church secretary can then take down your information for the church records.
2. Next we will work out an agreeable time for you to meet with the pastor. At that meeting, you will have some time to get personally acquainted and talk about the importance of baptism. What does it mean for you and your child. What does it mean to be a baptized Christian.
3. From there we schedule this special day on the church calendar and prepare for the worship service you have chosen. We have two services: Saturday at 5:00 PM; Sunday morning at 9:30 AM
You, and your family are invited to sit in the front pews. We do the baptisms at the very beginning of the service.
Also, if a friend or family member would like to sing a special song or read a verse or play a CD, we encourage them to participate, making this day more meaningful.
God bless you. The congregation of Bread of Life looks forwad to sharing the good news of baptism with your family.
