In Matthew 28:19, we are called to, “Go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Baptism is a part of becoming a member of God’s Family, not through any magic or holiness of the water, but by the promise given by God’s Holy Word, in, with and under regular water in baptism."
We baptize persons of any age. Romans 6:4 says that we are united with Christ in His death, in baptism, and raised to new life.
If you or your child have not been baptized it would be my honor to visit with you. In the case of a baby, I like to meet with both parents for one session before the special day.
1. You should first call the church and check the schedule to see if the date you desire is available. The church secretary can then take down your information for the church records.
2. After that, call Pastor Jeff at the church or cell 833-5601 and line up a time that works for you (or both parents) to meet with me for about one hour. Usually, anytime Monday through Wednesday afternoons or evenings work best for me. Also Saturday mornings, afternoons, or after the 5:00 PM worship.
3. From there we schedule your special day into the church bulletin for the worship service you have chosen. We have three services: Saturday at 5:00 PM; Sunday mornings both 8:45 and 11:00 AM
You, and your family are invited to sit in the front pews. We do the baptisms at the very beginning of the service. This makes it easier for those with babies.
Also, if a friend or family member would like to sing a special song or read a verse or play a CD, I encourage them to participate, making this day more meaningful.
God bless you in Christ, Pastor Jeff
