"But the greatest among you shall be your servant." --Matthew 23:11
As a community of faith wrestling with the significance of Christ's continuing message to the world, we are reminded daily by our call to be servants. The repeated reminders in the Gospel that "The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve..." reminds us that we are called to love, live, and serve likewise.
In addition to our existing service opportunities at Bread of Life we are currently discerning new avenues where God might be calling us into service to our neighbors. From simple acts of kindness to long term projects, we are energized by the idea that The Church exists as a unique expression of community that lives to serve others.
It is or hope that if we were to ask the community of Minot who Bread of Life is, they would speak of our service to our neighbors. Serving takes on many forms, through the use of our time, talents, energy, and resources.
Below you will find links directing you to ways to give and get involved.
"As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. Whoever speaks, let him speak, as it were, the utterances of God; whoever serves, let him do so as by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen." -- 1 Peter 4:10-11
